Welcome to Tidize. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Tidize website, booking platform, and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or booking a cleaning, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Tidize is a technology platform that connects customers seeking home-cleaning services with independent contractor cleaners. Tidize is not a cleaning company and does not directly provide cleaning services.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. You must provide accurate, current information when registering.
3. Bookings and payment
- Prices shown at booking are estimates based on the information you provide (home size, service type). The final price may be adjusted if the home is materially different from what was described; we will notify you before any adjustment.
- Payment is processed by Stripe. Your card is authorized at booking and charged after the job is marked complete.
- Tidize charges a platform fee included in the price you see. The remainder is paid to the cleaner.
4. Cancellation
See our Cancellation Policy for details on when and how you can cancel a booking, and any associated fees.
5. Customer conduct
- You agree to provide a safe and lawful environment for the cleaner.
- You agree not to ask the cleaner to perform tasks outside the scope of the booked service or in unsafe conditions.
- You agree not to solicit the cleaner outside the Tidize platform for the duration of your account plus 12 months.
6. Cleaner conduct
Cleaners on the platform are independent contractors, not employees of Tidize. Cleaners are responsible for their own conduct and the quality of their services. See the Cleaner Agreement for cleaner-specific terms.
7. Reviews
Customers may leave reviews of cleaners after a completed booking. Reviews must be truthful and may not contain harassment, threats, or hate speech. Tidize may remove reviews that violate these Terms.
8. Disputes and refunds
If you are not satisfied with a cleaning, contact us within 24 hours of completion at support@tidize.com. We will attempt to resolve the dispute, which may include a re-clean, partial refund, or full refund at our discretion.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee any specific result or quality. Tidize does not control the day-to-day work of cleaners and is not responsible for damage caused by cleaners; cleaners are required to carry their own insurance.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tidize's total liability to you for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid Tidize in the 12 months before the claim or (b) $100.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute must be brought in the courts of Washington, DC.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-product notice at least 7 days before they take effect.
